| Did I tell you guys I saw The Mystery Jets for free?! They were doing a free gig on campus, only about 100 people, and I got to go! I had heard of them but not heard them before, but they're really cool :) |

Ooh cool. A free gig is always good stuff! I'll see if they have a MySpace page. :)
So I saw Elliot Minor and it was amazing. Gaah! I'll post pictures and whatnot later but I just wanted to say that I went to a signing before the gig and met them (short but sweet) and then met them afterwards as well. And I got a picture with Ed who does vocals and guitar! :D |

Yesterday I got to see some cool people at Projekt Revolution.
First I saw Inner Party System who I hadn't heard of and wasn't particularly impressed by. Quite same-y I found, so I got bored lol.
Then I saw The Bravery. Again their songs were quite similar, but I enjoyed them performing An Honest Mistake, which is the only song of theirs I like.
Then there was a band called Enter Shikari, who I had heard of but not heard their music. They were alright. I liked the electro-rocky stuff, but then most of the singing was screamo roaring into the microphone, which I don't like. The band themselves were really funny though, they're insane. Especially the drummer. They were making people at the front mosh and form human pyramids and run in a big circle lol.
Then was N.E.R.D. I LOVE N.E.R.D. I've seen them before, a couple of years ago. Awesome then and awesome now. They really get the crowd going. For She Wants to Move, they brought some girls up on stage and Pharrell was dancing with them and letting them take photos with him and everything. I was so jealous lol. Awesome set by these guys, I love 'em.
Then was Pendulum. If you like their music, then these guys are awesome live. Their songs just make me want to get up and dance like a crazy person. I enjoyed their set, but a lot of people weren't (like my brother lol). They did get the crowd pumped up though.
Up next was Jay-Z. He was so good! I like his music though, so maybe I'm biased. A lot of the crowd liked him too. He did some freestyle rapping, he did a bit of Umbrella, then he did some rapping to the White Stripes' Seven Nation Army which was cool. Oh and to ACDC's Back in Black too lol. Very good performance from him, I can see why so many people like him and I'm glad he was there.
After an hour's wait once Jay-Z finished, Linkin Park were on. They were AMAZING. I love them, I'm so glad I got to see them live. They did a good mix of songs, Mike did some freestyle rapping and they involved the crowd a lot too which was awesome. Chester was going on about how thankful he was to us and how he was amazed he was here and it was one of the best experiences of his life (apparently it was the biggest Projekt Revolution to date!) Mike came down the front (I was right at the back lol) and mingled with the crowd, shaking hands and I think he might have jumped in amongst them lol (I was very jealous!). They did two encores, one they bought Jay-Z to do a couple of songs with and the other they did Bleed It Out. Awesome awesome awesome to see live.
